We are currently searching for a parts runner to support our busy Alexandria HVAC and Plumbing technicians. As a parts runner, you will be responsible for driving a company vehicle to pick up and deliver parts and equipment from the shop/warehouses to our technicians in the field. The Customer Service Representative answers incoming calls for service in our busy call center, schedules appointments and answers customer inquiries. Requirements:

  • Must have 2 years experience in a dispatching or call center experience in a similar environment
  • Ability to work normal business hours M- F. Occasional evening and weekend hours including participation in an on-call rotation is required.

M.E. Flow is hiring experienced and mid-level HVAC technicians to support our Commercial HVAC team in Leesburg, VA!

As a commercial HVAC technician, you service and install heating and cooling equipment in our commercial accounts. You will providing routine maintenance to existing HVAC equipment, and install and service existing HVAC equipment including compressors, blower fans, motors, and miscellaneous parts. Required Skills:

  • Basic math, reading and writing skills
  • Minimum 3 years experience in HVAC field service or installation OR completion of accredited apprentice program
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Strong diagnostic skills
  • Experience with mechanical system troubleshooting using various tools and test instruments
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to discuss technical issues with a non-technical person
  • Ability to lift or manipulate heavy equipment
  • Ability to climb tall ladders and work in tight places

As an Installation Helper, you will work with experienced HVAC technicians to install new heating and cooling equipment in residential homes. This is a great opportunity for a recent tech school graduate who is looking to get a foot in the door with an established HVAC company. Required Skills:

The HVAC Installation Technician performs new and retro-fit replacement of residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including heat pumps, a/c, high efficiency gas furnaces, boilers, and ductless mini splits. Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years experience in HVAC installation and service
  • Experienced with sheet metal, flue and gas piping
  • Ability to perform refrigeration brazing, recover, pressure test, and evacuate systems, low/high voltage wiring, and any other instructed work
  • Must be able to work independently under the guidance of Senior Mechanic
  • Communicate and educate customers regarding their HVAC system
  • Must possess all necessary tools to complete quality work
  • Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc.
  • Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately
  • Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, and must undergo drug testing and a basic background investigation.

The HVAC Service Technician visits customer homes to install, repair and/or maintain HVAC systems. As an HVAC Technician, you will use your in-depth knowledge of heating and cooling systems to provide maintenance and repair services, replacing components such as compressors, blower fans, motors, and miscellaneous parts. These positions require a great deal of customer interaction as the technician must understand the customer’s problem and be able to effectively communicate the diagnosis and proposed solutions. A minimum of 4 years of experience servicing and installing HVAC equipment is required. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, and must undergo drug testing and a basic background investigation.

Flow is a busy, family-owned HVAC and Plumbing Company located in Northern VA.  We are searching for a dedicated and highly motivated individual to lead our Call Center.  In this role, you will provide daily leadership to a team of customer service associates as they field customer calls, answer questions, and schedule service appointments.  You will be responsible for providing feedback, coaching, and motivating the team, while working closely with the other managers to ensure goals are met or exceeded.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and train staff on the best ways to convert calls into booked service appointments.
  • Ensure staff understands call center objectives, performance standards and policies.
  • Interview, hire, train, new Customer Service Representatives (CSR’s).
  • Work with marketing department to author and refine scripts so they result in more booked appointments
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of staff, review recorded calls; advise staff on how to meet objectives; take corrective action when necessary
  • Formalize coaching and training methodology
  • Create schedules and ensure sufficient staffing to match business demands and seasonal spikes
  • Train staff on SAWin dispatching and call taking system, credit card processing, timekeeping system, and other automated systems.
  • Manage time cards and PTO requests.
  • Interact with customers to develop customer relationships and to ensure that all requirements are being met.
  • Work closely with service manager to manage scheduling demands and provide quality customer service
  • Work with other division managers to support CSR’s, maximize customer satisfaction and ensure operational and administrative processes are followed.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience taking calls in a call center.
  • A minimum of 2 years of call center management experience with direct oversight of at least 5 – 10 employees.
  • Proven ability to coach, train and motivate others
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
  • A knowledge of HVAC and/or plumbing is a big plus!
  • Strong sales aptitude
  • Proficiency in MS Office software and previous experience with call scheduling and dispatching software
  • Must be willing to take a hands-on role and answer calls/schedule appointments when call volume is high.
  • Must be able to work full-time hours and occasionally on weekends.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Higher education is preferred.
